Emma Wadee
Emma Wadee, Project Manager for Tall Ships Races Aberdeen 2025, worked in the hospitality and tourism industry for two decades across a range of cultural and outdoor national and international events including the inaugural 2023 Cycling World Championships in Scotland. Emma grew up on a working farm in the Scottish Borders and is passionate about the outdoors and the many benefits it brings to your mental and physical health and wellbeing.
Emma will share all the details on the planning behind The Tall Ships Races Aberdeen 2025 which returns to the city for the first time in nearly 30 years from 19-22 July 2025. It is Europe's largest free family event and is expected to draw 50 Tall Ships from across the globe as well as attract 400,000 visits to the city.
Max Carcas
Max participated in the Tall Ships race in 1987 from Germany to Sweden and can share some photos and memories from the experience. He will also talk about innovation in marine renewables - wave, tidal and offshore wind as these are all sectors. Max has been involved in this sector and understands how it is very helpful and necessary it is that it engages with people with a love and knowledge of the sea and the associated skills and experience
