Existing members should login and update their profile to amend their membership.
For the remainder of 2024 we have introduced a Winter Membership for £40. This supersedes all categories of membership except Junior membership which remains free. Those joining as Winter members will remain eligible for the First Year Racing discount in 2025 if that is the category they want.
To try out the club, non-members are permitted to sail or join in club activities up to a total of 4 times before they are required to join one of which can be a mentored "Taster Session".
The 2025 Membership year will run from 1 April. Rates will be set at the AGM in February.
For information Membership Rates for 2024 were:
- First Year Racing Member: Racing and cruising in dinghies and yachts at Port Edgar - £80
- Racing Member: £150
- Cruising Member: Club cruises and race up to 4 times a year. £75
- First Year Family Member: One adult can race and cruise and the other cruise. Children up to age 18 can race and cruise - £120
- Family Member £190
- Student £40 Junior (u18) No charge but at least one parent must be a member.
Port Edgar Yacht Club will only use any personal data that you provide for running the club and will not pass that information to any third party.
Our preferred method of paying subscriptions is by Direct Debit through a financial services provider called Gocardless.
Risk Statement
If you intend to participate in racing at Port Edgar Yacht Club you should be aware of the Royal Yachting Associations risk statement. Rule 4 of the Racing Rules of Sailing which states: The responsibility for a boats decision to participate in a race or continue racing is hers alone. Sailing is by its nature an unpredictable sport and therefore involves an element of risk. Competitors are referred to the Risk Statement in the PEYC Notice of Race and in the membership form.
