PEYC Dinghy Courses 2026

The courses and the chart are here.

Please  note some changes for 2026

  • Mark W is the new start and finish mark, its about 100m N of the race box. This forms the start line  and the transit is just indicative.
  • The mark we used in North Queensferry (M) was a mooring buoy and wasn't laid in 2025. Its not in the courses for 2026 but for the long reaches we are using mark X, a Forth Navigation mark immediately south of the north pillar of the Queensferry Crossing.
  • We have some light wind courses which only go into Queensferry Bay and do not require the trip under the Queensferry Crossing  to mark Y which can be problematic in strong tides and light winds. These courses are "out and back"  type courses, hence one lap only and they will require a downwind start in West winds.
  • Similarly we have a set of strong wind courses which also stay in Queensferry Bay, do not go out into shipping channels and do not go under the Queensferry Crossing. These too are "out and back"  course with one lap and potential downwind starts.

The A5 version is meant to be able to be folded and laminated in an A5 pouch. The A4 version larger to manage, but easier on the eyes. The OOD version is annotated with advice for race officers.
