Race Coaching

Race coaching is available to all PEYC club members free of charge and arranged by contacting
RYA Level 2 Keelboat Race Coach Ramsay Leuchars.

Coaching is available to suit One Design Sports boats, Keelboats, High performance IRC yachts
and Cruiser Racers.This also includes the club Hunter 707s and RO330 Eurobo, no additional charge is made for
coaching when using club boats.

Race Coaching is sailor led and will normally be focused to on the water sessions looking at a
specific topic. These sessions are tailored to suit you the sailors requirements whether it be individual crews or
multiple boat sessions. 

Individual boat sessions can be On Board coached sessions or Outside on the water coaching
using the rib for individual and multiple boat sessions. Note: Multiple boat coaching will require the club rib to facilitate, this might not always be
available due to other club activities so dates can be flexible. 

Sessions covering Start Racing, Sailing with Spinnakers / Racing Sail Trim etc (2 full Days advised for spinnakers) can also be provided for those new to sailing/racing and wish to build more confidence to participate in club/local regatta racing. Note: These sessions/dates TBC or can be arranged to suit members requirements. This is inclusive of Sundays during the sailing season with coaching as per sailor request.

Coaching sessions will include briefing/debriefing of sailors with shore based feedback including video, photographic evidence to allow sailors to evaluate their performance.
