Cruise in company to Limekilns Sunday 23 June

 Warm fair winds, sunshine and a favourable tide: who would have thought this was sailing? Well, it was! For once everything came together and we had a memorable afternoon. Four cruisers, Fingal, Melita, Second Chance and Wild Horse set out on this epic 3nm journey to Limekilns. They were joined by three 707s and we all tied up in the picturesque harbour.

Second Chance decided it was such a lovely day it was better to sail on up the river rather than sit in a harbour. No doubt they had a good time but we had chocolate cake, falafel, strawberries, and beer, all supplied by friendly crews.

Before the tide dropped too low, we untied and had a leisurely run in the balmy evening air back to Port Edgar.

This has set a high bar for the next trip out!
