WhatsApp is a very useful tool for club communications and PEYC now has two WhatsApp communities(a community is a set of WhatsApp conversation groups) These are: 

• PEYC Club Community: This is the official one. Only a small number of groups which reflect the main activities of the  club as in the menu items in this website :
  • Yacht Cruising: WhatsApp Link

  • Hiring and Mentoring: WhatsApp Link
  • Crewfinder: WhatsApp Link

• PEYC Member's Community WhatsApp Link. This is where the other groups will be found. Members can add their own groups here if they wish. Expect to find groups about boats, events, friends, etc. The only request here is keep it polite, keep it relevant and if you want to discuss politics/religion/football, there are other places  to go and do that. However, as groups will come and go,  the link above is only a link into the community. 

Also, as we cannot be sure every club member is a member of a WhatsApp group and every member of a WhatsApp group is a member of the club, we will continue to use emails and this website as our primary means of formal communication. However, for communications between members rather than just from the club to  members; we recommend joining the WhatsApp groups that interest you.
